A quick, and hopefully healthy way to lose 15 pounds?

I am 5'3, and I'm trying to lose about 15 pounds or so. Of course I would like it to take the least amount of time, but I also would like to keep off the weight permanently. I just want some ideas, and good tips on how I can do this in a reasonable amount of time. (Not something like 6 months). Any help is appreciated.

seriously,it works cos thats what im doing now!
do 3 sets of sit ups(100 for each set) carry weights,jog&skip..push yourself,its pain but it'll be worth it AND just eat oats or sandwiches or soup for that whole time(1 month or less).You'd be very pleased with the results..take it from someone who did just that last week 7 lost 2kg!

we learned in health class the healthiest way to cut calories is -500 a day. drink lots of water, and fruits and veggies and stuff.

just make sure you have healthy food… NO fatty fast foods…!
and choose a sport you might like and excersise REGULARLY and of course NEVER over-do it!!!!

my mother was extremely over weight when she started the program, "weight watchers." and she lost 15 pounds in around 2 weeks. but that's only because she was so heavy, you drop weight faster when you're heavier.

but i would suggest that. it's easy and effective and quick if you're already heavy, and still pretty quick compared to other diets, even if you're not real big.

Stay away from sugar, a lot of carbs and eat mostly fruits a vegetables. Walking every day will help as well. The trick is to burn more calories than you eat. reducing 500 calories a day will help you to lose about 2 lbs or so a week safely.

Typical male answer…sex. It is healthy and it burns calories, and usually doesn't take very long. Otherwise, try jogging, I guess.

Slow and steady win the race!

I lost 30 pounds in 5 months by cutting my calories down to 1,500 and riding my bike 10 miles a day.

what you can do for yourself and it is very healthy.

eat food in proportion, cut down any white food like potatoes, white rice, pasta. then exercise a little bit each day and increase it as you go along. limit desserts.

Well first off there is no "quick" way. Second you might want to see if you actually can or need to lose that 15 pounds. If so I would suggest that you lower you caloric intake and also exercise…if not more than you are doing at the moment. This is key.
But you have to make sure that your body has the 15 to lose.
Healthy foods are key…salads..I know-boring…but veggies and protien will help aid in your success…
also talk with your doctor about this first.

A good way to loose weight and get on to a healthy life style track is to cut out unneeded sugars in your diet.
Try giving up pop, or soda, cola, coke, whatever you happen to call it where your located.
Giving up sodas and cutting out sweets can really help your weight and most people document a loss in around 5-10 lbs when they just cut these out alone.
Coupled with a regular exercise program, and some healthy eating you will loose the weight and keep it off as well.

This is probaly what everyone is going to say but…
Start getting into the habit of exercising everyday, it can be anything, make it fun or get some friends to do it with you. Also get into the habit of eating healthy, I know its really hard, but once you get into the habit its really hard to stop.

I lost a lot of weight very quickly (25 lbs in about two months) by cutting my sugar intake to 20g a day and incorporating weight lifting instead of just doing cardio (which I used to do for 30 to 45 minutes a day for five days a week). Actually, I have found that my weight seems to stay the same since muscles seem to burn more calories naturally throughout the day. It worked for me, everyone's different of course. Best of luck to you. oh yeah, I also eat six small (mostly protein) meals a day … don't forget this … very important!!!

If you are determined you must diet and exercise. You can help yourself by drinking a full glass of water before meals. I am sure you know all types of diets. To lose weight quickly and without too much pain try the Cabbage Diet. It is a lot of work to cook it up but the recipe is delicious and you get to eat some goodies every day. Exercise is the key to losing weight and keeping it off. You are going to have to continue working out to keep it off.

you could try a detox plan – a good 30 day plan is discussed on this site: http://www.drspeakout.com – it uses Isagenix. I know a couple of people at work that did it and lost quite a bit. Also look at http://www.eatcleandiet.com.
Eat fibre, like flax seed, salba, whole grains, legumes, and lots of fresh fruit and veggies and lean proteins. I have started to add whey powder when I don't get enough protein.

well why not try working out in a gym and get good diet.try eating fruits and vegetables.those can help yah with your diet.also try jogging every morning so it can help you loose some weight.i heard cranberry juice can make you skinny.my mom eats cereal grains and yogurts to loose some few weights.i hope this can help you loose 15 pounds lol and also i hoped i helped yah.
