I’m currently 147 pounds, 5’5, and I want to lose about 15 so I can get back to the weight I was a year ago, around 130 and toned. What should I eat? I have no idea how to shop for healthy food! How should I work out at the gym? I’m terrible at the treadmill so what can I do? HELP PLEASE!

Here is my advice and what I used to loose weight.
Eat brown rice instead of white. Eat white meat instead of brown meat. You can actually eat whatever you want BUT you have to eat in small proportions(that’s the catch). When your shopping look at the packaging and look how at how many calories, sugars, and carbs are in them PER serving! You should never eat more than 1 serving, 2 at max. Instead of grabbing sodas drink plenty of water. You don’t have to go to the gym, you can ever work out at your own house. The main exercises I did to loose weight are.
Crunches, Lunges(be sure to alternate legs), Squats, Push Ups, Leg lifts(laying on one side and lifting your leg). To make these more challenging you can add weights in them(small dumbbells). I would also HIGHLY recommend biking and walking. Also do some jogging and running!

Here is how I would do the exercises.
10-20 lunges
15 squats
25-30 leg lifts(per leg)
10-15 Push Ups
25 Crunches
I would do 2-3 sets.
I went from weighing 160 and I’m down to 135, I’m only 5"2. 16 years old~

First of all, it would take you about ten weeks to lose 15 pounds on a strictly-followed regime. Secondly, why pick THE hardest time of the year to decide you NEED to lose weight, why not make your goal to maintain, then start actually cutting back on the crap and increasing your exercise AFTER the holidays?
Are you trying to punish yourself?

Doesn’t matter how long it takes. I weigh 175 and wanna lose 15 pounds for now. I run every Friday but that’s pretty much it.

Eating 900 nothing below( Your body will go into starvation mode, and you’ll ended up retaining weight.) either way, if your not going to work out( Which is not recommended by me.) you must diet, eating healthy, and not eating after six helps a lots. Plus don’t eat at least three hours before you go to bed. You really should consider working out, but you can lose weight without it-its possible.

You really shouldn’t try to lose that much weight in a month I don’t think. But alright cut out the junk. ALL of it. No sweets, no chips, nothing fried nada. No alcohol, don’t add sugar to anything, and drink nothing but water. tea. or fruit juice with no added sugar. I recommend allowing yourself to have a treat/off day every now and then though so you don’t go crazy. As time goes on see if you can space the treats out more and more. Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits and whole grains, and try to stay away from pre packaged stuff. Oh um I guess dairy is okay, but make it good. Don’t grab the strawberry banana granola yogurt and expect it to be any good for you. I have actually heard that animal dairy products aren’t very good for you, humans are the only animals to drink milk past infancy and there is a good reason as to why the other animals stop. Feel free to look into that more. But give almond milk a try, low calorie, nutritious, doesn’t have all the hormones like soy milk and is far tastier than cow’s milk in my opinion :) . Whatever you do don’t starve yourself, it’ll shoot your metabolism, so figure out your basal metabolic rate and go from there. Try to work out vigorously at least 3 times a week and give you attention to cardio and weight training equally. Work out more often if you can but don’t over do it. Always be mindful of your technique as you do it and have fun with it! You don’t need to feel like you’re dying to know you got a good workout. I have lost 10 pounds and counting and here is some of what I what I eat for the day, I think I most likely need to eat more though.

Breakfast: 1 cup oatmeal, 1-2 eggs scrambled in coconut oil
Lunch: 2 cups vegetable soup, some fruit of my choosing.
Afternoon snack: Roasted nuts, air popped popcorn, chips and salsa and guacamole, fruit, one or two of these things though, not all of them.
Dinner: Baked chicken or fish, steamed vegetables misted with olive oil and sauteed in garlic or stir fried chicken over brown rice. something like that. You might notice a distinct lack of bread. It’s due to allergies D:.

Something like that, I like to mix it up and I drink vegetable and fruit smoothies, home made (blended vegetables… yuck. But necessary sometimes. Not sure if you can do it though, I have a vitamix, it’s like an industrial grade blender. I blend beets in that thing) You didn’t gain the weight over night so don’t expect to lose it over night either. Don’t let set backs get you down and for goodness sake I think those weight loss drugs are terrible for you! Wouldn’t recommend them. Good luck, and lose the weight in a healthy way!

I can not go all extreme, but I do want to lose 15 pounds as fast as possible and I am willing to work! The catch is I don’t want to gain too much muscle, in fact almost none. I know you dont want to hear this but…..110 pounds! Are you serious thats by no means considered heavy, or anywhere near overweight. I think your the right weight for your height. On to the tips:

- Fact: it is EXTREMELY unhealthy and i think impossible (not sure) to lose 15 pounds in one
month. (I wish it wasnt)

- Drink A LOT of water every day. You should drink half your body weight in ounces (55 ounces) a
day.

- Move around more. Go outside and take a walk or a run. Bottom line is to STAY active.

- Whenever you eat chew your food slowly and you’ll get full faster. So you wont overeat.

- Eat 5-6 small meals a day. This boost you metabolism, which helps you lose weight.

- If you can go to the gym take one of the classes they have. If you cant just go running/ walking for
an hour or more 3+ times a week

- Cutting sugar out of your diet will do a lot. Eat more whole grain foods and lots of fruits and
vegetables. These also boost your weight loss effort.

- Do 25 minutes of cardio workouts 2-3 times a week to stay active and fit.

I hope this helped and i wish there was some way to lose weight faster. If you stick to your weight loss plan you should see results within the first 3-4 weeks.

Try to eats snacks that will make you feel full without having to snack on junk(try things with fiber) One other thing is that if you try your best to exercise, than just have a certain time each/ every other day specifically for just exercising. Try to get at least 30 min for every session of your exercising. For the workout to actually start to have an affect, you have to workout on that specific area for 15 min at least. For faster results, go for 30-45 min. One thing I noticed is that when you workout by your self you tend to slack on it, and end up just quitting. Try to find someone you know who could come with you when you workout so that it’s not just you. You’ll find that by going with someone else will make you go when you need to and not just mentally cancel it. Hoped I help you with your problem. I’m usually a very active and healthy person, but I’ve gained 15 pounds on my medication. Though I’m on a new medication now, I still need to shed these pounds. I have been eating very healthy meals 3 times a day with 2 snacks in between and I am doing high intensity cardio for 30 minutes every other day. I’m 5’3 and currently weigh 130 pounds. If I keep this up, about how long will it take me to lose the pounds?

I’m taking my best guess and estimate in about 2-3 months but you’ll probably lose more. Because you’re doing it the right way, the healthy way, which brings long term results. You could increase your activity level and you could see results a little faster, but don’t decrease your food intake, currently your keeping a balance, your metabolism is probably going up and up, and the number on the scale will definitely go down, just make sure you don’t go up and down like a roller coaster, meaning that you really have to keep this up, not for a couple of days but for a good long while.

Remember to keep hydrated, and to keep moving even after you lose the weight.
