Lose 15 pounds in a week!

Hello-

If you spend some time on Yahoo Answers and search for lose 15 pounds, you will find that many people want to lose that much weight in about a week’s time.

Usually it is to try and impress someone, usually a boyfriend.  Sometimes you will find guys that try to lose that much weight for a girl but it’s usually a young girl who is desperate to shed some pounds fast.

That is just crazy.

And most of the people on there give helpful answers that it’s not possible, unless you want to cut off an arm or some other drastic silly method.

The responders usually give helpful advice such as:

“You can’t do that. Thats unhealthy and there’s just no way. Hun, losing weight takes a lot of time. But with proper diet and exercise, you can lose 15 lbs in about 2-3 weeks.”

“You can’t! Even if you stop eating as of now, you will not lose 15 pounds. Even the people going on a hunger strike do not lose that much weight. What you could lose is 5-7 pounds and that would mainly be water, therefore de-hydrating your system and putting stress on your liver and kidneys and heart. As soon as you drink again the weight comes back.”

“its not healthy to lose 15 lbs in a week, and if you did you’d gain it back just as quick. i recommend talking to a nutritionist and doing some kind of activity to burn calories and fat.”

So as you can tell, you cannot lose 15 pounds in a week and it’s a bad idea to even try to.

A good healthy diet and some moderate exercise will get the pounds off in a healthy manageable way that will have you looking good in a short period of time.
